What the hell is Anne Rice doing on James Dobson's show?

I'll update after I listen to both broadcast (aired today and tomorrow). But Anne Rice is on James Dobson's Focus on the Family radio show and I am none too happy about it. I applaud her finding faith but to go on the show of a man who has been such an evil force against the cause of Christ is both sad and a kick in the teeth to her readers.

What does Christopher Rice, her son, think about this?

Dude, you can't just abandon them and refuse to have anything to do with them. I think Anne is probably just selling her book and being a little light in a dark place that pretends to be light.

Actually, yes you _can_ choose not to associate with (or condone the actions of) people who spread such virulent hatred and misinformation as Dobson.

It takes courage and principle, however--and Rice appears to have felt that broadcasting her conversion (and plugging her books) was more important than finding a better venue.

You are either part of the solution, or you are part of the problem.
